Jambo!

Jambo means "Hello" in Swahili!
Africa is breathtaking yet heartbreaking. We've been here three days now and we've had an appointment at the US Embassy seeking a grant for Arise Africa, the ministry in which we're serving; held three assemblies at schools in Jinja; and ministered at a Women's Ministry where women are seeking help in hygiene, cooking and nutrition. We've estimated that the Gospel has been shared with over 1600 people! We're seeing lives being saved -- even Muslims professing Jesus!
I believe we will see Africa on our list of mission trips one day soon, as I want all of you to experience this! The people are absolutely beautiful and their singing will immediately take you into the presence of the Lord. My cup overflows. The understanding that God is sovereign sustains me as I see and hear stories that will hurt your heart forever. But God reigns and people are being added to His kingdom daily through their suffering - and joy.
